Bitcoin and Altcoins Slide as Tariff Escalation, Iran Tensions, and Market Outflows Rattle Crypto

Crypto markets opened the week under significant pressure as a combination of U.S. tariff escalation, rising U.S.–Iran tensions, and persistent institutional outflows weighed on Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), XRP, Cardano (ADA), Solana (SOL), TRON (TRX), Ethereum Classic (ETC), Internet Computer (ICP), FARTCOIN, Aave (AAVE), MYX Finance (MYX), BNB Chain (BNB), and a range of altcoins. The Crypto Fear & Greed Index fell to a reading of 5 — categorized as “Extreme Fear” — while more than $470 million in liquidations swept the market. Five consecutive weeks of crypto ETP outflows brought cumulative withdrawals to approximately $4 billion, according to CoinShares data cited by industry outlets.
